Az időmérő edzés után megtartották a korábban nagy hagyománnyal bírt hajós versenyt, amiben a csapatok vesznek részt. Nem volt más dolguk, mint összeeszkábálni egy ladikot, és vízre szállni vele, majd a lehető leggyorsabban teljesíteni a távot.

A versenyen a Ferrari kivételével mindenki képviseltette magát. Igaz, az olaszok tavaly sem szálltak vízre…

A mezőnyből mindenki ugyanolyan mennyiségű eszközt kapott a hajója megépítéséhez, de a kihívást így sem volt egyszerű. A csapatoknak 30 perc állt a rendelkezésükre.

A vízi futamot a Williams nyerte meg
